Re: Saigon Times vs SA Governor Hieu Le
With many pieces of evidence, we strongly believe that SA Governor Hieu Le breached public trust in many ways:
First, he committed perjury by claiming his father had died while knowing fully that it was not the truth;
Second, as a political refugee, Le Van Hieu betrayed his political refugee status and violated the UN Refugees Convention by visiting Vietnam, shaking hands with the very communist regime from whom he fled;
Third, as a State Governor, he abused his status and power by advertising to recruit Vietnamese students (for the profit of a particular university/business venture) on video clips widely distributed on the internet.
As Vietnamese refugees as well as citizens of Australia, we have duties and obligations to be loyal to Australia as well as to our Vietnamese community. Also, as a newspaper that interviewed Hieu Le and praised him, when he was appointed the Vice Governor of South Australia, we also have duties and obligations to our readers.
To fulfill our duties and obligations, we respectfully ask for your assistance in bringing Mr. Hieu Le to justice, as it is obvious that we can not do this without you, “the Robin Hood for social justice in Australia“.
